Father's Day

This was Ben's second Father's Day.  We got to share it with Alyse's Papa and Mommy's Papa.

Alyse enjoyed the meal.  It was chicken cutlets and eggplant parmesan, per Alyse's Papa's request.  She wasn't too sure about the eggplant, but she enjoyed her chicken.

Alyse and Papa had a nice little conversation as Alyse was finishing up.  By the end of their stay, Alyse had warmed up to Mom and Papa.

In the above pictures, Alyse is wearing a bib given to her by Mom.  It says, "That's It! I'm going to Nonna's!"  So cute!

We took a four generations picture again, since the last time we took it, Alyse was only a month and a half old.  So here is our nice little updated picture.  :)

So here are some photos of the opening of presents on Father's Day.

Alyse's Papa reading his cards.

Alyse's Daddy reading his card.  Nice expression!

Papa opening some cards.

Ben reading another card.

Papa looking at his card from us.  All three dads received cards made with photos of their children and grandchildren and/or great grandchildren.  It was intended as a keepsake for each of them.  They enjoyed looking at each other's cards and the photos that were put there.

The pictures below are from another day during Mom and Papa's stay, but since there aren't that many, I just included them here.

Like I said, by the end of their stay, Alyse finally warmed up.  Here she was sitting with Papa.  That smile on her face in the second photo is when he gave her some chips.  She had never had them before, and boy, did she enjoy them!

Alyse and Mom looking at the calendar on the fridge.  Alyse just loves to be told what everything is, and is always pointing at things to learn what they are.  She really enjoyed Mom and Papa's stay, and we were all sad to see them go home to Florida.  Hopefully we can visit them next year in Florida.  Then everyone there can see how big she has gotten.  :)

Pool Time with Mom and Papa

So, last month, Mom and Papa, (or GM and GP), came to visit and stayed for a week.  One of the days they were here, we all took a trip to the pool.  Alyse enjoyed every minute of it.  This time we brought toys for Alyse, and she enjoyed the pool even more. :)

Alyse even hung out with the rest of us in her own chair.  She enjoyed herself just relaxing in the sun.

Just like before, Alyse enjoyed her snack time, and snacked on apples with Nonna.

Posing for a picture with Aunt Kathleen.

Back in the pool with her toys.  Alyse didn't want to leave this day because she was having so much fun with her pool toys.

Alyse had fun at the pool again.  Now that she has toys to play with, it is just like bath time for her. :)

Pool Time

So, I know it has been a while since my last post.  With family in town, it has been difficult to keep up with posting.  As promised, here is a post about Alyse's time at the pool with Nonna and Aunt Kathleen.

Alyse walked up to the pool with Daddy and Nonna.

Then she went into the pool with Nonna and Aunt Kathleen.  The water was cold at first, but she got used to it and had fun just sitting in the water.

Then Nonna took Alyse for a few "swims" in the pool.  She loved getting pulled through the water.  She even tried to do it on her own, but we caught her before she fell headfirst in the water.

She also took some time to sit with Aunt Kathleen.  :)

Then she spent some time with Mommy.  She really just had fun playing with everyone and enjoying the  water.

She liked playing with the fun noodle that Aunt Kathleen brought to her from the big pool.  After watching another kid, she wanted to keep smacking the water with it.

She even had snack time with Nonna, eating apples.

It was a very relaxing day at the pool for Alyse, Nonna, Aunt Kathleen, Daddy and Mommy.  :)
